Colby Cave was a professional Canadian ice hockey center. He played for the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

At the beginning of his career, he first played locally with the Battlefords Stars from 2009 to 2011 in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

Colby was born on December 26, 1994, in North Battleford, Canada to his father Allan Cave and mother Jennifer Cave. He had a younger sister named Taylor Cave with whom he grew up in the small town of Battleford, Saskatchewan.

His nationality was Canadian. He belonged to white ethnicity. There are no details about his education in the media.

Death, Brain Bleed

Colby had been medically-induced into a coma after suffering an overnight brain bleed on April 7, 2020. He was hospitalized in a Sunnybrook Toronto hospital. 

A 25-years-old ice hockey player died due to brain hemorrhage after spending five days at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on April 11, 2020.
